 Here are some ideas. . .

HAVE A BUSINESS?  DONATE a product or service your business provides and have your name/business seen by over 500 people on our website.

DON’T OWN A BUSINESS, No worries!!!  DONATE something you love!

• LOVE COOKING, DONATE a cooking lesson, a dinner party, or a unique baked good

• LOVE PHOTOGRAPHY, DONATE a picture

• LOVE CHILDREN, DONATE babysitting services or a trip to the zoo

• LOVE THE OUTDOORS, DONATE landscaping or mowing service

•  LOVE ANIMALS, DONATE dog walking

• LOVE A HOBBY, DONATE something you make

• LOVE QUILTING, DONATE a blanket

• LOVE SEWING, DONATE something to wear

• LOVE WINE or HOMEBREWING, DONATE a bottle of wine or a tasting party

• LOVE KNITTING, DONATE a scarf

DON’T HAVE A HOBBY, NO WORRIES, DONATE something you would enjoy!!

• TICKETS to a sporting event, show, movie, or concert

• Weekend at your CABIN or VACATION HOME

Cherry Creek High School Band Auction Wine Bottle Grab 

Thinking about trying a new wine, but too nervous you’ll get a dud?

Now there is an easy way, and it helps the Cherry Creek Bands Program via an auction donation.

It’s a Wine Win Win!!!  And it's easy!!

• Donate a bottle of your favorite wine, be sure to include a note about why it’s special to you

• We will even add several cellar-worthy bottles

• At the auction, bid on a mystery wine bag.  If you are the winning bidder, take it home and enjoy!!!

How do I get started?

How do people buy a happening?  At the auction people buy a "ticket" to attend the event for the price you set until tickets sell out at the number of people you set. 

Then what?  Have the happening and have a great time! Meet new people and enjoy the event! The band benefits from the proceeds made from the tickets sold to you happening. For example, if you have a happening for 10 people and tickets sold for $20 each then you had a great time and made $200 for the band!

What are some ideas that have been successful in the past?

• Pizza And Jam Session For Band Members

• Host A Watch Party For Avalanche/Broncos/Nuggets (Watch The Game On The TV)

•  Dinner Party

• Wine And Cheese Party

• Game Night And S’mores

• Dart Warz Party

• Mexican Fiesta And Margarita Night

• The ideas are endless! Be bold and create a happening.

The Auction Committee relies on Section leaders to help put their section basket together to gather and provide your section’s “basket” for the auction.  

What’s the process?

1. Reach out to your team and pick a theme.

2. Send your choice to clscheerer@gmail.com or 303.949.2530 (call/text Cara Scheerer) to ensure that the theme is available (first come first taken) and receive confirmation. 

3. Decide upon the total amount for your section (each member contributing). 

4. Purchase and collect items for your theme & give the total amount upon delivery of items. 

5. All items need to be in a nice receptacle for the items: basket, decorative box, or something that makes your items “pleasing to the eye”.

6. Arrange for the “basket” to be delivered or picked up – contact clscheerer@gmail.com or 303.949.2530 (call/text).

7. Your section “basket” Must be delivered or ready for pick up by October 4th

Possible Theme Ideas: Pick one or pick your own (remember to contact Cara to verify availability)

• Get Active - sports of any or multiple kinds or just workout items - warmers, water bottles, chairs, any items that would be used in a sport or watching a sport

• Great Outdoors - camping or any outdoor items

• Theater night – movies, popcorn, or some way to share/give streaming/ movie tickets (theaters are open)

• Snack Time – chips, crackers, and so forth  

• Sweet Tooth - do I need to say more

• Warm and Cozy - blankets, socks, coco, candles 

• Dinner Out - gift certificates, babysitter, wine glasses 

• Fido and Fluffy - pet ideas 

• College Ready - room set-up, kitchen items, bath items, hot pot, laundry basket   

•  Caffeine is me - coffee, tea, mugs, gift certificates  

• Cool and calm - beauty items, spa items, pleasure reading  

• In a green box – gardening tools, plants, gardening book - maybe just "green" energy 

•  In the Kitchen - cooking items - baking items, cooking class  

• Mystery Box - place various items in a box no one gets to see - like a total blind item bid 

• Connect It - art like items, duct tape (because it fixes everything), ribbons, fun paper, paint and brushes, design pens or colored pencils 

• Spice It up - spices, BBQ, seasonings, sauces, mustards 

• Win or Lose – sports items 

• Decorate & Prepare – Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Mardi Gras-specific day themes with items to match
